Tours in English
Lake Shore (1.2 km) Summer and Winter
This is a gentle walk from the STF Tourist Station through birch woodland to the shore of Lake Torneträsk, where you will find a picnic area and sauna.
Rihtonjira (6km) Summer
Follow red trail markers to hike through forest and apline scrub, cross a waterfall and snowfields, and summit Mount Nuolja. This audio experience is 6 kilometres from the top to the bottom and is only available in the summer.
Svenska Turer
Sjöns Strand (1.2 km) Sommer and Vinter
Detta är en lugn promenad från STF:s turistation genom björkskog till stranden av Läke Torentrask, där du hittar en picknickplats och bastu.
Rihtonjira (6km) Sommer
Följ de röda stigmarkörerna för att vandra genom skog och buskar, korsa ett vattenfall och snöfält och bestig berget Nuolja. Denna ljudupplevelse är 6 kilometer lång från toppen till botten och är endast tillgänglig på sommaren.

How does it work?
Download the free ECHOES Interactive Sound Walks app and either select a walk on the map/ near by walks if you’re in Abisko or type in one of the walks names above.
As you walk, audio will automatically play when you reach different points along the trails. We’ll introduce you to the plants and animals that live in the Swedish arctic, and explore how life survives in an environment that spends its winters frozen and blanketed in snow, and its summer months bathed in 24-hour daylight.
